What is Halfway Ball?
This is 2 nights away to celebrate being halfway through our university course with the whole year group! It is tradition for the year group to travel and stay in a fancy hotel somewhere outside of Glasgow such as the highlands. It takes place in February just after our exams and before we begin our clinical placements!
What is included in the Ticket?

Transport to and from Aviemore (departing from the Wolfson Medical School)

Two nights' accommodation in a 4* hotel room (twin rooms)

Full use of the hotels' extensive leisure facilities is included

Breakfast on the Tuesday & Wednesday

A buffet meal and themed night on the Monday Night

A Ball on the Tuesday Night including a Black Tie Dinner and Ceilidh
How do I buy Tickets?
Please sign the Google form and pay via the SRC website.

What if I am waiting for resit results?
We anticipate that results should be released before the Ball deadline. If they are not, we will extend the deadline further. Unfortunately, the timescales on Ball are quite short as we have to make a deposit to the venue but we will accommodate anyone delayed in purchasing tickets due to resit results. Anyone who has to repeat year 2 is of course still welcome to attend Ball should they wish.
Can I purchase a plus one ticket?
Plus ones are allowed. The SRC website only allows you to buy one ticket with your account, so your plus one would need to create an account with the SRC. If they are not a UofG student, they can create a guest account.
What about direct entrants (from St Andrews, Malaysia & Brunei)?
There will be a slightly different timetable for direct entrants to buy tickets as they may not be aware of halfway ball until the start of the semester, this will be communicated to them directly in due course.
